Labels Labels Labels

Every product manufactured requires a label of one type or another, some are required by law. Depending on the cost of the final product and its use depends on the type of label it requires, below are the different methods of production:-

Engraved - suited to short run quantities where basic text and data are required, simplified logos can be digitised and then engraved. All material types can be engraved.

Etched - larger quantities of labels can be acid etched into stainless steel, brass or bronze, this is produced using a photographic method and a high quality finish to the label is achieved.

Anodised - for low cost durable labels in large quantities, this is the only option. The specially treated aluminium is printed and then anodised to seal the ink into the top of the anodic layer. This printing can then only be removed by deep scratching the surface and thus destroying the label.

Screenprinting - for large quantity labels or stickers. for more details see our Screenprinting section.

Roll labels - when the product requires a medium quality label at the lowest price possible then this is the method. Materials include; self adhesive vinyl, foil and paper.
